Visual Pilot Guides

The five Visual Pilot Guides (VPGs) for the former GAAP locations now reflect the 3 June 2010 airspace changes. Use the VPGs in planning your VFR flights in the new class D and non-towered environment.

As a visual pilot, you are encouraged to use these visual pilot guides for planning flights in the class D and non-towered environment. The information contained in these guides is correct at the time of upload to the internet, but is subject to change without notice. Pilots should refer regularly to the CASA website for the latest edition.

Plan your route thoroughly. These VPGs do not replace current visual terminal charts (VTC), and documents such as the En Route Supplement Australia (ERSA).

Always check ERSA, NOTAMs and the weather forecasts before you fly.

For now, the VPGs will be available online so that:

they can be updated easily and therefore remain current, and
