- Development of rules and standards for, and execution of entry control and surveillance of, industry organisations operating under a number of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations,
- Introduction of new technology and supporting standards in support of aerodromes, obstacle marking, Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) for both ground infrastructure and airborne installations
- Education of industry on regulatory and operational safety issues
- Liaison with industry and government groups
- Development of regulations to cover new areas of CASA accountability
- Engagement with and participation in ICAO and other international bodies
