CASA Licensing and Registration Centre (CLARC)
The CASA Licensing and Registration Centre - CLARC - processes pilot and maintenance engineer licensing applications, aircraft registration applications/notifications and medical certification applications.
CLARC also coordinates the issuing of Aviation Reference Numbers (ARNs) for individuals.

Application processing timeframes
We may not have received your changed contact details
If you notified us through the on line address update form between 10 and 14 August, technical problems with our computer system may have caused your changed contact details to be lost.
If you went online between Sunday 10 August and Thursday 14 August to change your contact details for CASA and didn't receive a confirmation sent personally by a CASA staff member your changes may not have been made. Receipt of a computer generated confirmation during this period unfortunately does not mean your information was processed.

Payment of fees
Where an application requires payment of a fee, there are a number of options available:- If the form includes the option, enter your credit card details on the form and post or fax it to CLARC
- Include a cheque with the form, made out to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and post it to CLARC.
- Contact CLARC on 1300 737 032 to pay the fee over the phone using a credit card.
Credit cards accepted: Visa and Mastercard only.
Incomplete applications
Incomplete applications for licences, medicals or registrations may be returned for completion.
Proof of identity for overseas students
Adequate proof of identity documents must be supplied with all applications for licences and security checks. A letter stating a student is enrolled at a flying training organisation is not an acceptable form of identification. What is required for Proof of Identity
