Aerodrome manual template
Overview
The intention of this Aerodrome Manual template is to assist aerodrome operators to revamp their manuals in order to ensure compliance with CASR 139 Division 139.B.2 to gain aerodrome certification.
The template is designed to fulfil two functions:
- As a formatting and layout guide for upgrading your existing manual so that it will satisfy CASA regulatory requirements; or to use as the basis for a new manual.
- To ensure that all of the requirements of CASR 139.095 and MOS Part 139 - Aerodromes, with respect to operating procedures and aerodrome information are addressed.
To ensure completeness the full text of this document should be maintained, as this will assist both you with future internal audits and with CASA's regulatory audits.
The text in italics represents the regulatory requirements. You should then insert your own procedures that reflect the complexity and operating environment of the aerodrome.
To make a complete manual each of the italicised components requires a response. Only complete manuals will be accepted for aerodrome certification.
If a question/component is not applicable to your aerodrome CASR 139.095 (b) requires that you indicate this in the manual and include the reasons why not.
