Aerodromes

Rules and practices for aerodromes

Rules and Practices for Aerodromes (RPAs) contain rules, mandatory standards, procedures and guidance information relating to the planning, design and operation of aerodromes.

A number of RPA chapters are not included on the CASA web site because they are not available in an electronic format.

The RPA has been replaced by a new document called Manual of Standards (MOS) - Part 139 Aerodromes which contains all the aerodrome standards. There is no plan to progress the web version of the RPA.

The RPA standards will continue to be relevant for existing facilities but any upgrading or new work is to be in accordance with MOS 139.
